Your question, relevant conversation history and document excerpts are sent to Anthropic (Claude), or OpenRouter and its model providers for legacy sessions, to generate an answer. Provider data-handling policies apply; requests may be processed outside Hong Kong.
Chats are saved in this browser until you delete them or clear browser data. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to read them.
A source with a hidden citation may still contribute facts to an answer. Admin-only documents are excluded from chatbot requests.
Do not enter passwords, student ID numbers, medical details, complaints about identifiable people or other confidential information. Use an appropriate college contact for sensitive matters.
The service uses consent and anonymous browser cookies. Administrators can view anonymous acceptance times, notice versions, question counts, conversation IDs, response outcomes, model selections and response times for up to 90 days. Questions and answers are not stored in these analytics. These IDs identify browser profiles, not named people. A per-browser allowance of 20 generated answers resets daily at midnight UTC (8 a.m. Hong Kong time). Anonymous daily allowance records expire after that day; this does not identify you across browsers. Security/rate-limit records are also used. Cloud hosting and model providers may also keep operational records.
